As the master, you have full remote control rights on your host systems. You work on the system through a session window as if sitting in front of it. You don’t have to depend on another person to log you in.
Netviewer Admin lets you perform maintenance tasks on remote servers and PCs conveniently from your desk or home office. React to problems faster and you will save time and money.
As the administrator you can use folders to organize your host PCs into logical groups. You will also receive information about which hosts are active, the most recent activity, or which operating system is in use.
Stay organized. Organize your hosts by site, areas, or purpose in order to administer your host computers as efficiently as possible.
As the master, you can easily retrieve system information from remote host computers. If someone is logged in to the remote system, he or she must approve of the transfer of information. This way, privacy concerns are always respected.
Don’t depend on your good luck when selecting the right updates and patches for the host. System diagnostics gives you an overview of the system so you can resolve specific problems.
With File Transfer Explorer you will quickly find your way on host and master systems. Use functions that are familiar from Windows Explorer. Drag & drop functionality makes it easy to place files in the right directories.

Special privacy functions (like those demanded by some works councils) enable you to perform work on a remote workstation even if it is currently in use. The host-side user uses the Application Selection tray to select which applications are visible.

Configure Netviewer Admin to suit your needs exactly. You can create and manage various function and user profiles in the MyNetviewer customer portal and assign them to different persons. For example, you can specify that a certain person is only able to view and is not granted remote control rights.
In the Master application, you can define which Hosts individual users have access to. Thus you maintain full control at all times – wherever you are.
User authentication in the master and host programs plus encrypted connections and session data protect your data from misuse.

How Netviewer Admin works
The Netviewer Admin remote maintenance solution consists of two core components: the Master and the Host program. The Master program enables you to maintain your target systems from anywhere. A Host program must be installed on each target system.
You can purchase Masters and Hosts entirely independently of each other to suit your needs exactly. Thanks to the Software as a Service model, this does not mean any additional technical effort, and your investment always corresponds to your actual requirements – no more, no less.
Our three-tier security concept gives all Netviewer products complete
architectural security.
1st level: Architecture
- Logical separation of connection and communications servers
- Asymmetrical 160-bit ECC key for authentication and encryption
- Blowfish encryption mechanism with 256-bit key length secures data exchange
2nd level: Application
- Hosts assigned to master user in order to define which hosts a master user may access
- Deactivation of individual functions like remote control
3rd level: Privacy
- Access permission
If a user is logged in on the host side, he or she must explicitly allow access. - Application selection
The master may see only explicitly released applications on occupied hosts.
