A native of Germany’s southern Alpine region, Dr. Schweinbenz combines entrepreneurial drive with a love of sports and appreciation for fine wines. The idea for Netviewer came to him in the summer of 2000 as he stood on the balcony of parent company Netpioneer, about the same time that much of the hot air propping up the New Economy began to dissipate. Following a tradition of innovation rooted in the culture of the region and leaning heavily on his knowledge of mathematical economics, he pushed ahead to found the company in June 2001 and lead its growth.
